Being unable to define your own feelings is something that can be overcome by learning to recognize and express your feelings. That is, you can practice mindfulness, a practice that has been shown to be both rewarding and effective in helping people become more aware of themselves, their emotions, and their feelings.
Mindfulness is not an overnight experience. It requires practice and practice time, but as someone who has been practicing mindfulness for four months as part of a mindfulness course, I can say that it has taken a significant amount of my life to be okay with my feelings being taken away from me by my friends. I can’t say the same for the other students in the course who also are grappling with the same feelings.
